Ancel is out of Int. CH/VC Feldjaeger Klaus and Sandhill's Gorgeous Gretal. With a Versatile Champion Sire and a pedigree of outstanding dogs such as Int CH./VC Shooting Starr's Sharp Shooter MH and VC/NSTRA CH Shooting Starr's Son of a Gun MH Ancel is a young dog with big shoes to fill. In NAVHDA testing or as a guide dog in the grouse woods he has proven up to the task. Ancel is an energetic dog with a very cooperative attitude. He is very eager to learn, willing to please, and loves to work. He gives his all in training and catches on to new things very quickly. He is an intense pointer with a very good nose. Ancel loves to retrieve on land or water.
In the grouse woods Ancel's determination to find birds and his tremendous stamina serve him well on long grueling hunts in the toughest cover. Ancel earned a NAVHDA Natural Ability Prize II 101 points at just 4.5 months of age. At 16 months Ancel earned a NAVHDA Utility Prize I along with a maximum score of 204 points! Along with being a talented gun dog Ancel's excellent conformation has earned him the title of International Champion. Kara handled Ancel to 1st place finishes in 3 of 4 IABCA show rings including a Best of Breed win.
A pleasure in the house, Ancel is somewhat of a "Character" with a mild temperament and easy going attitude. Ancel carries himself proudly with a high tail and spring in his step. Ancel deserves to be proud, he is filling those big shoes!!
